Boom in Civil Engineering                                                                                             

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deal with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment including work such as  bridges, roads, canals ,  dam  and  building. Civil   engineering  is   the  oldest  engineering  discipline  after  military engineering. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines such as environmental engineering, geotechnical  engineering  ,  structural  engineering ,  transportation  engineering   ,   water  resource engineering, material engineering, coastal engineering, surveying and construction engineering.  All these disciplines are covered in detail during B.Tech Civil engineering takes place on all levels, in the public  sector  from  municipal  through  to  federal  level  and  in  the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies.

Scope of Civil engineering in India and abroad

Opportunities exist in the public and private sector in large in all branches of design, construction and maintenance, infrastructure development in both India and abroad. Right now construction company is booming as there is growth in infrastructure requirement throughout the  country .  This is going to stay  for  next  few  decades. Scope of civil engineers lies with many developing country in Middle east, Africa and Asia,  where  infrastructure  development  is  picking  up and Indian engineers are in great demand.

There  are  various  reason  that  have  been  accounted  for  the  recent bloom in the civil  engineering course  . The  sheer  Magnitude  of  the  sectors  that  offers  job  opportunities  to  these candidate has increase to three folds. The sector  has  been  hot  cake  for  the  government  as  well  as  private terms and sheer pace for the various projects that have been included in the Indian subcontinent offers the right kind of opportunities that helps to bloom in this sector, particularly.

About the Department

The Department of Civil Engineering is constituent department of Loknayak Jaiprakash Institute Of Technology. The department has highly  qualified  and  highly  experienced staff  members in the field required  for  the  students .  Special  lectures  are  also  delivered  through  eminent  Civil  Engineers. Seminar and other academic activities are also undertaken in order to make the students aware of the latest development in the field of Civil Engineering. Students are encourage to do their project work in  order  to  develop  their  confidence and to interact with field condition. The department has well equipped  laboratories  namely  Fluid  Mechanics  Lab, CAD Lab, Surveying Lab, SOM Lab, etc.

     Indian Railway Service Of Engineer, Indian Railway Store Service, Central Engineering Service,   Military Engineering Service, Central Water and Power Research Station , Survey of India Service, Indian Forest Service, Border Road Organisation, Central Water Commission, etc. 

     

Note :- In addition to this they can also appear in IAS, IPS and IFS examination.
